House sales in December 2021 to foreigners increased 77.1 percent!

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), house sales in December 2021 to foreigners in Turkey became 7 thousand 841 by increasing 77.1 percent.

House sales to foreigners in December increased 77.1 percent

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat); house sales in December 2021 to foreigners in Turkey became 7 thousand 841. Thus sold houses percentage increased 77.1 percent compared to the same month of the year 2020. House sales to foreigners had 3.46 percent share of all house sales in December 2021.

House Sales in November;

• İstanbul 3 thousand 300 house sales,
• Antalya a thousand 827 house sales and
• Ankara 489 house sales.

House sales to foreigners in 2021 increased 43.5 percent

House sales in 2021 to foreigners in Turkey became 58 thousand 576. Thus sold houses percentage increased 43.5 percent compared to 2020. House sales to foreigners had 3.9 percent share of all house sales in 2021.

• İstanbul 26 thousand 469 house sales,
• Antalya 12 thousand 384 houe sales,
• Ankara 3 thousand 672 house sales.

Most house sales were made to Iran citizens and 5th the German

Houses sold to foreigners in Turkey by nationalities in country in 2021 are as below;

• Iran citizens 10 thousand 56 houses,
• Iraq citizens 8 thousand 661 houses,
• Russian citizens 5 thousand 379 houses,
• Afghanistan citizens 2 thousand 762 houses and
• Germany citizens 2 thousand 358 houses.

In December, Iran citizens bought a thousand 462 houses from Turkey. Houses sold to foreigners in Turkey by nationalities in country in December 2021 are as below;

• Iran citizens a thousand 462 houses,
• Iraq citizens a thousand 39 houses,
• Russian citizens 885 houses,
• Germany citizens 296 houses and
• Kazakhstan citizens 282 houses.

Turkish Citizenship by Real Estate Investment

The Republic of Turkey provides exceptional Turkish Citizenship and Residency to foreigners by a certain amount of Real Estate Investment according to the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901. Please find below the guidance for your information;

• You need to buy a real estate in Turkey which is worth a minimum of 250,000 US dollars.
• Time condition for all investments is 3 years.
• You can be a Turkish citizen with the condition that you can take back all investments along with legal revenues 3 years later.
• You can sell your real estate once the required time expires and you are granted Turkish citizenship.
• The applicant’s spouse and children who are younger than 18 years old will also be granted Turkish citizenship.
• You do not have to live in Turkey to participate in the Turkish Citizenship application.
• Your Turkish Citizenship will remain for a lifetime and your children will be born as Turkish citizens.
• You can keep multiple citizenships along with your Turkish Citizenship.
