House sales in October 2022 to foreigners decreased 8.8 percent!

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), house sales in October 2022 to foreigners in Türkiye became 5 thousand 377 by decreasing 8.8 percent.

House sales to foreigners in October decreased 8.8 percent

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat); house sales in October 2022 to foreigners in Türkiye became 5 thousand 377. Thus sold houses percentage decreased 8.8 percent compared to the same month of the year 2021. House sales to foreigners had 5.2 percent share of all house sales in October 2022.

House Sales in October;

• Antalya 2 thousand 123 house sales and
• İstanbul thousand 658 house sales,
• Mersin 490 house sales.

Most house sales were made to Russia citizens

In October, Russia citizens bought 2 thousand 23 houses from Türkiye. Houses sold to foreigners in Türkiye by nationalities in country are as below;

• Russia citizens 2 thousand 23 houses,
• Iran citizens 498 houses,
• Iraq citizens 310 houses,
• Ukraine Citizens 216 houses and
• Germany citizens 211 houses.

Turkish Citizenship by Real Estate Investment

The Republic of Türkiye provides exceptional Turkish Citizenship and Residency to foreigners by a certain amount of Real Estate Investment according to the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901. Please find below the guidance for your information;

• You need to buy a real estate in Türkiye which is worth a minimum of 400,000 US dollars.
• Time condition for all investments is 3 years.
• You can be a Turkish citizen with the condition that you can take back all investments along with legal revenues 3 years later.
• You can sell your real estate once the required time expires and you are granted Turkish citizenship.
• The applicant’s spouse and children who are younger than 18 years old will also be granted Turkish citizenship.
• You do not have to live in Türkiye to participate in the Turkish Citizenship application.
• Your Turkish Citizenship will remain for a lifetime and your children will be born as Turkish citizens.
• You can keep multiple citizenships along with your Turkish Citizenship.
