House sales in April 2022 to foreigners increased 58.1 percent!

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), house sales in April 2022 to foreigners in Turkey became 6 thousand 447 by increasing 58.1 percent.

House sales to foreigners in April increased 58.1 percent

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat); house sales in April 2022 to foreigners in Turkey became 6 thousand 447. Thus sold houses percentage increased 58.1 percent compared to the same month of the year 2021. House sales to foreigners had 4.8 percent share of all house sales in April 2022.

House Sales in April;

• İstanbul 2 thousand 564 house sales,
• Antalya a thousand 970 house sales and
• Ankara 333 house sales.

Most house sales were made to Russia citizens

In April, Russia citizens bought a thousand 152 houses from Turkey. Houses sold to foreigners in Turkey by nationalities in country in April 2022 are as below;

• Russia citizens a thousand 152 houses,
• Iran citizens 905 houses,
• Iraq citizens 714 houses,
• Kazakhstan citizens 311 houses and
• Ukranie citizens 263 houses.

Turkish Citizenship by Real Estate Investment

The Republic of Turkey provides exceptional Turkish Citizenship and Residency to foreigners by a certain amount of Real Estate Investment according to the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901. Please find below the guidance for your information;

• You need to buy a real estate in Turkey which is worth a minimum of 400,000 US dollars.
• Time condition for all investments is 3 years.
• You can be a Turkish citizen with the condition that you can take back all investments along with legal revenues 3 years later.
• You can sell your real estate once the required time expires and you are granted Turkish citizenship.
• The applicant’s spouse and children who are younger than 18 years old will also be granted Turkish citizenship.
• You do not have to live in Turkey to participate in the Turkish Citizenship application.
• Your Turkish Citizenship will remain for a lifetime and your children will be born as Turkish citizens.
• You can keep multiple citizenships along with your Turkish Citizenship.
